Observation Entry

Maverick looked very good in these pictures we took of him right before we took him out to the pasture. Maverick is being sincere and is willing for a few moments to let us take a picture of him and I. His silky mane flipped this way and that against the cool breeze. He was loveable only for a second or two and then he was spunky as a wild mustang eager to get to the herd in the pasture. The horses that were in the pasture behind us, wanted Maverick to come into the pasture. It was a sight to see because every one of them was whinnying for us to let him out. His coat gleamed because I had just given him a one of the best groomings I had ever given him. His eyes sparkled in the midst of the bright sunlight. I didn’t want to put him out that day because I knew my work would be gone after he rolled in the dirt and mud, but I could just do it again tomorrow and spend as much time with him as I wanted.

I had to do an Observation Journal about something, for school, of my choosing and I chose to take a couple of pics of me and my horse, Maverick, and then observe what happened when we took those pics. I tried to do my best at describing what I heard, saw, smelled, and felt. Let me know what you thought of my desriptions and if you have any others just tell me and I might get a better grade. lol

Our New Thing Is Making Homemade Bread.

We have tried making bread for a while using my mom's bread-making machine and had always failed, but we tried a new recipe and I'm hooked on eating it! I used it to make a delicious sandwich for lunch and it was awesome, but at the same time healthy. It had turkey, cheese, bacon, and (of course!) bread. Doesn't it make your mouth water? Try it! It's really good. Oh and the piece of bread on the side has Honey butter on it. I'm also hooked on that, too, but I like the Strawberry butter better.

Zoo Day

We went to the zoo on Friday and had a great time spending time with each other. My brother was a little grumpy cause' he didn't want to walk everywhere (he had fun even though he didn't seem like it). We had fun watching the polar bears wrestle with each other. They hit the glass so many times I thought it was going to break! (but it didn't.) We also saw the farm animals, elephants, rhinos, and giraffes. The baby giraffe was out and walked around almost right to the side of the gate it was really cool!

I love my little brother!

I love my little brother because he plays with me and makes me laugh when I'm down. He also gets on my nerves but, so does my horse. At times I think of them as twins! ha-ha!
